Military Families
CAST STEM High School welcomes our military families! Our district recognizes the unique strengths and challenges of our military-connected families, and we aim to provide a smooth transition for students and provide support and resources to families throughout their stay in Southwest ISD. Thank you for choosing our district!
We support military-connected students and families by:
- Introducing a campus "leader" through the Student Leaders class that helps to introduce and support the military-connected student in school
- Providing news and updates for events and activities featuring military students, families, and veterans
- Designating resources for students and military families
- Hosting Month of the Military Child events and celebrating our military families through school-wide and district-wide events
- Providing priority status in the school's enrollment process for children of active-duty families
